Circular XML Menu

hi, i have a question, where i have to create a new movie clip with the instance "contentMovie",

and what should i do with xml files?

Thanks - I did change this but now it only opens link2.html but it doesn't take the acutal URL I've entered into the XML file under link2.
I can't make it work, is there not something else to modify so that by clicking on each circle, it opens an external link as specified into the XML for each items ?

Hi Everyone, like to laod external swfs inside the circle, any help will do thank you. I can only load one, don't understand how to load lets say 7. I know how to do it for 7 buttons but this works with xml. please help

chage this - getURL (link2, "_blank");
to getURL ("link2.html", "_blank");

can someone help me ? I want to open an .html file on click of each circular image but it doesn't work. I removed in the .fla file the "//" to enable the get url link already there "getURL (link2, "_blank");" and i added by http link by adding "link2" in the XML file but it doesn't work. When i click on the image the URL does't open, it somehow use the text as link and put it after my url on which i loaded the flash files and rest.
Hope you understand = basically i want to be able to open links with html page.thanks

I cann't open this file in both Flash 8 and Flash MX (MACOS) Can somebody advise me how to handle this file?

What changes I have to do in the script so the top image will be on focus (at 0 degre) not the right one like is now ?

I think it's a great concept. I do huge amount of usability studies and i think perhaps increasing the usability would have won my 10/10 vote. in my mind, every time a user is presented with the menu they'd have to hover over each item to understand where it takes them. This could get very irritating for the user. Hope this helps (just my 2 cents worth). Great worth otherwise.

guialberti, why does it jump 2 items on click? Is it a bug? Doesn't it look/work better if it jumps one item only?

An idea ... I think a photo gallery would look nice like this with thumbs (circles) around a bigger circle in the middle and the big image loads in the middle then thumbs are clicked. With main image changing on click or on mouse wheel rotation.

Thanks,I posted this file for the menu contest, but is simple to transform in a picture gallery, just create one more Tag in the XML, and call the image in the action button, by loadMovie for exemple... Good Idea! Or make more simple, create a new folder for the "big images" and call the image names of the thumbs, loadMovie (bigImages/...

The animation is cool. What I`m saying is that, since it`s a photo gallery, it would be nice to be able to click and enlarge the individual pictures.

OMG, guialberti i saw your website. That's Great. Good Website. Good navigation. Easy to understand. I also plan to use that circle menu in my website.
one more question. Is that possible to call in the swf by using XML.(so next time can updated easily)

What is confusing for you? it's different type of navigation, you can use in yours flash sites, load movieclip, swfs, URLs, etc... look this site, it's a exemple of usage for this menu type - dankastudio.fr
