Globe animation
This is a cheap animation, I followed a bit of a tutorial on bitmap manipulation, any ways i made this because i cant find an actual 3d tutorial or fla on the net to play with, sorry about the vars and also its a little buggy but feel free to play with it and do what ever you like, there's room for improvement, it took me half an hour to make!3322 downloads, 39207 views

Good Work
Great Animation
superrrrrrrrrrrrrbbbbbbbbb
It's nice.. It looks like 3D without 3D spects.!
I like it!
S U r right... :-)
its named "cheap globe" Cause its dodgy, but the concept is right, and to the other comment that the earth spins the other way well this example was a demo for some one else its outlines my point, id rather think this globe is better than a 2d image just scrolling behind a mask?
Good, but the Earth's rotation is in counter-clockwise, a reference to observing the planet from outer space on the North Pole.
Good work but y u named the animation as "cheap globe"????????
built new pc, it doesn't like flash keeps crashing.i will update this soon... and add some more as3 files
Yes, it says it was made with CS5.5
@brettmcmaugh if you can, save it in a CS5 or lower version, you can provide new files for same listing by clicking "edit" button.
can't open in cs4 and cs5 :(
good work done...
Really a nice work!
unfortunately I can't open the file, because I have flash cs3. But I'm looking for a updated version.
Thank you :D
its no really a repeating frame its the bitmap manipulation, when the animation returns to frame 1, the effect doesnt kick in straight away so what happens is the image at that point in time is flat not bulging there for creating a stutter. when i have time i will try to sync it better by creating an image to replace that frame, the purpose was to make an actual 3d look from a 2d image instead of these simple scrolling images that looks flat and don't resemblance a sphere, or maybe someone else can use the idea and fix it lol.. thanks
You have a repeating frame at a point of the animation, you can see it shaking.
