i was trying this kind of animation with ordered masking applied. But i ended up with the one found in my recent posting (Real estate banner animation) Plz do refer and suggest for improvements.

I love the outcome, but the creation seems like it would be a long tedious process. Is there a short cut way to creating something like this (taking a photo, reducing it to basic outlines, and then making the outlines "draw" themselves)?
