the backgrounds were drawn first in illustrator and modified in photoshop. the people were hand=drawn, scanned, traced in illustrator and later imported to flash where coloring was also done...you're right, drawing the backgrounds was really time-consuming but they have to be done the best i could. thanks for the comments.
Did you draw the backgrounds? It seems like you spent more effort on the backgrounds than the people. The animation was ok, but I didn't really catch the story the first time I watched it. It was a pretty good animation though.
